Polk County Offices will be closed Monday, May 27, 2019, in observance of Memorial Day. The tag line in Cedartown Tax Commissioner’s Office will be closed for system upgrades Thursday, May 23, 2019, from 1:00 p.m. until Tuesday, May 28, 2019. Property Tax line will remain open.  The Tax Commissioner’s office in Rockmart will be closed from Thursday, May 23, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. until Tuesday, May 28, 2019.

The Northwest Georgia Regional Council, made up of the region's locally elected officials, is responsible forgathering feedback from the public in order to create a plan that addresses the region's top priorities.     We are pleased to announce Mrs. Sandra Floyd Polk County Employee of the Month for May 2019.

    Sandra has worked with Polk County for twenty years as a full time employee, and a number of years as a part time employee.  Kathy Cole, Polk County Tax Commissioner says "Sandra is an excellent employee and always goes above and beyond to do her job."  You can find Sandra's smiling face at the Polk County Administration Office in the main lobby where she will gladly help you with your tag and taxes!
