The Polk County Probation Office, as part of the Tallapoosa Judicial Circuit, supervises adult misdemeanor probationers by monitoring compliance of court ordered conditions, making referrals to community service work, counseling and other appropriate agencies, and addressing violations in a timely manner.
 
Polk County Probation works closely with the Superior Court of Polk County to structure the probation standards, develop the sentences and establish the probation policies.
