Under the direction of Karen Hubbard, Polk County Public Works takes great pride in the unified relationship we have established with the other departments of Polk County. In conjunction with the Emergency Management Agency and the Sheriff's Office, Public Works is prepared to respond to all threatening weather conditions and immediately take action to rectify any situation that may be hazardous to Polk County residents.

Our primary responsibilities include the maintenance of roads, bridges, road signs, drainage and vegetation control. The Public Works Department exists to provide safe and efficient movement of people and goods within the county and is committed to maintaining a well-kept and safe community.
